Expanding our yard!

After we finished renovating 1 side of the double next door ( the side closest to our house) we realized how nice it was not to have had neighbors on top of us for the last few months. We decided to go ahead and not rent out that side ( we are a little greedy with our space;)

Instead, Bryan is going to move his office next door and we will have an extra room for when out of town friends and family come to visit. Since no one will be living there, Bryan thought it would be a good idea to take down the fence dividing the two houses and put up a new fence in between the two sides of the double. That way we will have all of our yard and half of next door.

Also, Bryan, along with my brother, Chelsey, and my dad moved the gate to get into the back yard from the back of the house to the front. We still have work to do on the shed that was in the yard next door and the yard itself is not very nice ( there use to be a tree so now there isn't really any grass), but all that will come in time. I think this will be a nice expansion of our outdoor space.

I forgot to take a before picture of the fence that divided the two houses. So, this was back in October of '09, but it still looked the same;)

Chelsey and Nicholas put up the new fence dividing the two sides of the double and started taking down our fence.

No more fence...just an ugly shed...for now;)

This is what the side of the house looked like. The gate to enter the yard was towards the back and the two yards were divided. Again, I forgot to take a before picture so this was from June '09, but it still looked the same.

This is what it looks like now, standing in the back yard looking to the front. The fence and gate were moved up.

This is the view from the front. I didn't take a picture while it was still light out...sorry;)
