An afternoon at the zoo!

Since the weather was so nice today, I decided to take the kids to the zoo after Aubree's morning nap! I don't think I have ever taken them to the zoo in the afternoon before. If I have something planned for the day, then I like to do it first thing in the morning.

But, today I decided to let Aubree have a good nap, pick up the house a little, and pack a few snacks before heading out the door. It was such a great decision. Usually on Fridays the zoo can be crowded with field trips, but by the time we got there ( around 1:00 due to Aubree's VERY long morning nap) they were mostly all gone! There was hardly anyone in the whole zoo.

We were able to take our time walking around and go wherever we wanted to go. I think we will be doing this more often!
