Fridays on the River..or in my kitchen;)

Friday night, Jamie, Jason, and Mia came over to eat dinner and go to the concert on the river. We decided to fry some pickles, thinly sliced potatoes, and shrimp. Bryan and I have never fried anything, so Jamie brought over her fryer. Well, she forgot the cord at home, so Jason and Bryan ran to the store to buy a new fryer. When they got back we realized that we didn't have enough oil for frying (like I said, we never fry, so we were very unprepared;)!! So, Jason ran to the store again to buy oil. Once he returned we were ready to roll. Let's just say, dinner was worth the wait!! It was delicious!!! The only problem was that it took too long and the concert was over by the time we finished eating dinner;)

The kids didn' t seem to mind, they just ran around the house and played with Andrew's toys. Andrew would ask to go see 'da boot' (the boat) every now and then, but soon forgot all about it;)

Thanks Jamie, Jason, and Mia for a great evening!! We will do it again soon, and maybe even make it to the concert;)
